05. 教官指派 Instructor Assignment

•所有在飛行學校的學員都會被指派一位主要專屬教官,而且至少會有一位預備教官來負責訓練教學;若是
 專屬教官當天因生病或是課程重疊,通常會由預備教官來帶飛。

 The general philosophy at Flight School is that students are assigned to one primary instructor and have at least one back up
     instructor.
 They will fly occasionally with their back up instructor if the primary instructor is not available for any reason (Illness,
 schedule conflict etc).


一般來說,偶爾與其他教官飛行並接受不同的指導與飛行技巧之考評,對學員是有益的。
 In general it is felt that students benefit from occasional flights with alternate instructors and from receiving different inputs
 and evaluation of their skills.

 


作為整體141課程的一部分,總教官或助理總教官將在不同飛行階段裡來考驗學員的飛行。例如,私人飛
 行員執照有五個階段的飛行考驗。這些考驗有幾個目的: 首先,他們不是在教導學員,而是考核學員從
 資深教官處學到的飛行技巧,這樣學員才可以專注於需要改進的地方。
 As an integral component of the 141 curriculum, students will fly various phase checks with either the chief instructor
 or an assistant chief instructor. For example, there are five phase checks conducted as part of the private pilot program.
 These phase checks serve several purposes. First, they are not instructional but are intended to give students an
 independent evaluation of their skills from a senior instructor so that they may concentrate on areas that require
 improvement.


其次,這些考驗是飛行學院的飛行訓練計畫機制裡,一個具關鍵性的品管部分。這些考驗給予資深 管理者
 提供一個機會,來觀察各飛行教官的教學訓練;以改進教學品質及飛行訓練的標準化。
 Secondly, these phase checks constitute a key quality control component of the The Flight School's flight training programs.
    They provide an opportunity for senior management to observe the work product of the various flight instructors and to
 make improvements in the quality and uniformity of flight instruction being provided.
